a chance to fix oregon's broken tax code
08:24 PM
Seventy percent of Oregon's corporations pay the legal minimum, $10 a year, in income taxes.
The minimum has not changed since it was established in 1931. Yes, 1931.
Today, the Oregon Senate voted to restore something nearer to tax fairness and prevent $800 million in cuts next year. It went down by one vote.
Please contact Senator Mark Hass (D-Beaverton) and ask him, politely, to change his vote to yes on House Bill 3405.

This is a moment in our state's history that you will remember. With one phone call and/or e-mail you will influence the outcome of this critical issue. As a teacher and a father of 3 school-aged children, the fate of this bill will have a direct affect on my family and millions of fellow Oregonians.
It's the right thing to do.
